Belgrade Fortress

Belgrade Fortress, Belgrade, Serbia - 2022 Danube River cruise. The Belgrade Fortress is located on top of high ridge overlooking the City of Belgrade. The fortress is surrounded on three sides by the Danube and Sava Rivers. The fortress has been built, destroyed and rebuilt many times between the 2nd and 18th century and the current structure is a mixture of many of these rebuilds. It is part of Belgrade’s Kalemegdan Park.
